Definition
A procedural text is a type of text with the purpose is to tell the readers
about how to do or make something through a sequence of actions or steps.
Generic Structure
A procedure usually has three components they are goal, materials, and
method. Goal/Aim states what is to be done while
materials are the items needed to complete the task. Commonly, the
materials are put in order of the usage. Finally, method is a series of
steps to do the task or to make something.
Language Features
A procedural text is written in Simple Present Tense in an imperative
form. Moreover, signal words are used to move from one step to the next, they
are first, second, third, then, after that, and then, lastly, finally.

How to Make Paper Flowers
The materials needed are
construction paper, straws, pencil, tape or glue, scissors, and stapler. The
steps to make paper flowers are:
- First, trace your hand on construction paper and cut the tracing out.
- Then, curl each of the fingers around a pencil.
- Using the palm of the handprint, form a cone (with the fingers curling outwards). Then, glue or tape the cone together.
- After that, staple the flower to a straw.
- Draw some leaves on green construction paper then cut them out.
- Finally, staple or tape the leaves to the straw.
- Make a few of these flowers for a beautiful bouquet.
